Opportunity: Assistant Creative Producer
Join our core team!
We’re looking for someone with great organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude to join its small and passionate team. You’ll be working closely with our team of producers, creatives, strategists and designers, and a wider network of creative freelancers and volunteers, on projects that work with popular culture to influence how people think, feel and act.
You’ll work closely with our Creative Producers, supporting them on everything from research, project management and logistics to relationship building and production. As you get into your groove, you’ll also have the opportunity to take a lead on your own smaller projects.
Responsibilities
- Research: Researching locations, campaigns, issues, audiences and news. Producing summaries that pick out the most important bits, and making smart suggestions
- Logistics: Booking travel, deliveries, venues, sourcing equipment and suppliers
- Admin: Managing calendars, setting up and administering meetings and workshops, taking and circulating notes
- Relationship building and management: first point of contact with community organisations and project participants, dealing with questions and requests, building trust and connections
- Creativity: Taking part in creative sessions, sharing ideas, producing presentation slides
- Communication and community: Support with online and offline events, suggesting, drafting and posting content in line with the comms strategy
Knowledge, skills & experience
- At least one year’s experience working for a comparable organisation e.g. a campaign or charity organisation, a production company or a creative agency
- General administrative experience, including tasks such as event planning and project coordination
- Strong organisational and time management skills with great attention to detail
- A confident and efficient communicator in both writing and speech
- A great people person, with strong relationship building skills
- Proactive with a keen eye for spotting opportunities
- Self-motivated and keen to use your initiative to get the job done
- Passionate about the issues we work on, including fostering stronger communities and tackling the nature and climate crisis
If wouldn’t hurt if you had some of this too:
- Experience of managing social media channels in a professional or voluntary setting
- Experience with project management software and processes (Google drive, Slack, Clickup)
- Experience of making content yourself: art, writing, video, music, or anything else
- A love of creativity and willingness to share your ideas with the team
